@Jason: No problem! Thanks again for the tip. Hopefully my herbs will grow up big and strong.

@Greg: I won, kinda. My side of the story is this: I visited home during Spring Break and it was clear to both of us that I was going to win. My brother was avoiding me - I don't know if he had anxiety over paying up on the prizes or what - so I offered to call off the contest. After I did, he was back to normal. Since the contest, I've gained about 1kg back, but other than that it's been easy for me to maintain my new weight (about 84kg). I lost 15-16kg and I still feel great.

@billywest: That's a good, hack-worthy idea!

Since I eat nothing but soy beans and soy bean products, I like to use those empty tofu trays to put my edamame husks in.

Tofu and edamame; cuz I'm a soybean kind of guy.

@Jason:
How did you ever make out with the weight loss competition? I check the website every once in a while to see if there is an update? Did you win? How are you feeling? Is the weight staying off?

Do you live in Japan? Do you eat tofu? You know those plastic containers they come in? Those things are useful. Here you can find out how to use them in your gardening. Growing your own herbs can save you billions of yen in Japan, so check it out!...
