Well, it’s been about a week without an update! But there’s good reason. My wife and I had our firstborn a little more than a week ago (September 8th). For those who don’t know, in Japan it’s the custom to keep baby and mommy in the hospital for a week or more after the birth, so I spent quite a bit of time there over the last week. If you ever end up having a child in Japan, a good money-saving tip would be to convince the doctor to let you out of the hospital early – those bills add up!
Today was taiin day. Taiin (退院 [たいいん]) means “get out of the hospital”, so now we are all back at home. I have some articles brewing, so stayed tuned to learn about finding cheese in Japan, mail-order DVD rental services, and 300-yen steaks!Like this post? Give me the Thumbs Up!
